Founded in 1987 by CEO Dottie Belletto, the New Orleans Convention Company, Inc. is now in its 30th year of service to the association, hospitality and meeting community.

About Dottie Belletto

Dottie Belletto is founder and president of New Orleans Convention Company, Inc. (NOCCI) for almost 30 years and CEO of sister company, Prime Productions, Inc. for the past 26 years. Dottie is an entrepreneur whose ideas, innovations and expertise have been embraced and admired in the hospitality industry. Dottie’s professional and eclectic client list includes some of the state’s most prominent government and corporate leaders and well-known entertainers. Her creative vision and purpose is producing one-of-a-kind events tailored for specific clients and groups. Dottie provides creative and strategic direction as well as staff training and development to NOCCI. As a hands-on producer, she guides the creation and production of all programs and events. She has volunteered her time and efforts to numerous organizations that focus on the overall health and well being of community members, particularly women and children. She regularly promotes, supports and encourages education, rehabilitation and training for those in at risk communities.

Dottie holds leadership roles in numerous organizations. She serves and has served on several executive boards such as: NOATV (New Orleans Access Television); Science & Math Charter School-New Orleans; New Orleans Ballet Association; NOLA Chamber of Commerce; and Jefferson Chamber of Commerce. Dottie is Executive Director of Cultural Development of the New Orleans Music Legends, Inc.; Commissioner on the Morial Convention Center Board representing Mayor Mitch Landrieu and a LED Ambassador to encourage new business to Louisiana. Dottie serves as the Advance Advisor to all presidents/presidential staff that visit New Orleans providing security clearance, venue suggestions and on-site staffing.

Dottie’s past accolades include events consultant for the annual Krewe of Louisianians Washington D.C. Carnival Ball along with numerous conventions that have come to New Orleans. She created the “Elephant Romp” at Audubon Zoo, cleverly utilizing the visual symbol of the GOP for the 1988 Republican National Convention. She was founder of JeffFest, an annual event that brought first-rate musical entertainment to venues in Jefferson Parish for over a decade before being discontinued in 1999. Dottie created and orchestrated the “largest corporate parade ever held in the Superdome.” New Orleans Magazine nominated her as “top business woman of the year”. She was also chosen as the magazine’s “Top Female Achiever in Event Planning.”

Dottie has been certified with WBENC South since 2008 and the New Orleans State and Local Disadvantages Business Enterprise since September 2012.
